As any self-respecting recreational league would do, we try our best to keep accurate records for all you statisticians out there...and Caleb. In addition, we've also included some "firsts" for those who weren't around when the DCIHL began.

 

DCIHL Firsts

The first game in DCIHL history was played at Namseun Ice Rink in Daejeon on February 15, 2008.

The first goal in DCIHL history was scored by Mike Montgomery of the Goon Squad All-Stars, against Kimchi Comets goalie Ben Ramirez.

First Game Winning Goal: Ken Vantour, Kimchi Comets

First Shootout goal: Rupert Houle, Soju Soldiers

Miscellaneous Firsts

Bart Sears is the only player in DCIHL history to have won the championship twice (SEASON 1: Goon Squad All-Stars, SEASON 2: Killer Bees)

Ben Ramirez became the first player in the DCIHL to suffer a season ending injury. Ramirez tore his knee ligaments while playing goalie for the Kimchi Comets in SEASON 1.

Ricky Turnbull had the first pick in the first draft. The first overall pick in the history of the DCIHL was Hyun Seok Beom.
